17th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Neuromodulation (DGNM)
Franziska Buchner and Harald Kuhlmann attended the 17th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Neuromodulation (DGNM) in Gera last weekend.
Franziska had the opportunity to present the results of her master thesis “Health economic analysis of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on performing elective surgeries using epidural spinal cord stimulation as an example” in form of an oral poster.
Her work examined the impact of the pandemic on inpatient case rates in 2020 and the associated economic impact as well as consequences for the various stakeholders involved.
As hospitals are still working on reducing the waiting list of postponed procedures, the topic is still relevant.
